Converting to Tcl macros

Conversion options

Converting older PE macros to ModelSim 5.3 macros is necessary because

of changes made to ModelSim commands and ModelSim’s integration with

Tcl. Any PE macros prior to version 5.2 must be converted.

Conversion of pre-Tcl ModelSim macros is available from the Main

window Macro menu; select one of two options:

Execute Old PE Macro

Allows you to run an unconverted

PE macro. Conversion is achieved

on the fly, but is not saved. Your old

macros remain unchanged.

convert an

existing macro

(PE Macro File)

to a new macro

(Tcl Macro

File).
